Trees grow thickly in a small grove, their cover keeping the ground frozen and cold, yet free of snow and rain. The race of bark is unknown, but the largest tree in the grouping is big enough to drive a car through the center and still have room on either side. The alpha's den is dug among its roots, almost rabbit-like. It's opening is right beside the trunck, and a almost a body-length later it opens into a roomy and warm den, the roof caged in roots, lined with rabbit fur and dry leaves.
