Despite the black boulders and stones jetting from the ground, an abundance of life is found here. Arctic poppy flowers are sheltered by these rocks bringing a boisterous pink to the area. Further on where less stone is found, pockets of willow and other wild flowers of all colors make their home and give a lush, cheerful beauty to the packlands. It is a balanced chiaroscuro of plants and stones. With a sea of different shades it attracts many wildlife and thus makes it an excellent hunting ground
